1641421163 CROCHET KNITTED POUCHES IN SIVAS ARCHAEOLOGY MUSEUM

In traditional handicrafts, pouches have a special place with their production techniques and wide usage area. There are many types of pouches according to their places of use. In addition, it is possible to classify the pouches according to the construction techniques, the material used and the vehicle used in the construction. The value of the pouches is measured not only by the quality they carry, but also by the beauty of their appearance. While sewing and knitting was a common practice in the old times, today a generation has grown up who does not know how to hold needle and crochet. Therefore, when new ones are not made, the value of the old ones increases even more. As a result of the use of the pouches being replaced by other materials, their production is completely finished. For this reason, it is more important to protect cultural artifacts, which are our heritageTwo main objectives were pursued with this study. One of these; to record the pouches that are no longer made and to ensure the continuity of the pouches with different usage areas; Another is to pass on the taste of past experiences to future generations. For this reason, in the examined pouches; The material, color, technique, motif and composition features used were determined, the pouches were recorded, and the motifs were transferred to digital.
