In 2017, the excavations and scientific analyses at the Sultan's Tomb on Alâeddin Hill in Konya provide important data on the personal characteristics of the members of the Turkish Seljuk dynasty, as well as the social and cultural structure of the period. In this context, the article focuses on the examination of the remains of the bodies of the Seljuk period within the framework of the excavation and classification works on Alâeddin Hill and the fabrics used in the preparation of an exhibition based on these findings. Inspired by the identification of the clothes of the Seljuk period and the information obtained, detailed analyses of the background information (the meanings it carries or symbolizes, mythological background, etc.) of the motifs in the referenced examples such as fabrics, miniatures, ceramics, tiles, stucco, etc. were made. In this respect, the aim of the research is to reveal how the mythological elements reflecting the historical and other cultural heritage of the period in the Seljuk period sultan statues and fabrics are interpreted with a contemporary understanding. Qualitative research method was used in the research and literature review and artifact analysis method were used in data collection. The research was limited to 5 mythological figures used in dynasty clothes. Thus, it is aimed to reveal the historical and cultural heritage of the Seljuk period through positive identification and fabrics, and to bring this heritage to a wide audience by bringing it together with modern art and education. In addition, this study is important in that it reflects the historical and cultural heritage of the period and aims to transfer it to future generations.
